Yes! Rhodesian Ridgebacks are wonderful family pets that are very loyal and snuggly. They are also very trainable at an early age and as they are raised around small children and other pets in the home they will make no distinction.  There are many families that own PrideLands Ridgebacks who have children ranging from infants to teenagers and as well as other animals including farm animals, dogs, cats and lizards.  Our Ridgebacks adjust well to the family dynamic.  If you get a chance, please watch the video on Rhodesian 101.

Absolutely.  We try our best to be as flexible and accommodating as practical.  Most people do drive to Charleston for pickup. However, we do have preferred travel and transport partners.  We can fly your puppy to your local airport using DeltaPets, and we also have a trusted transportation service that will drive the puppy directly to your door. PrideLands will handle all the logistics for you at no additional charge. We will provide you quotes for each service directly from our partners for your approval. The cost of transportation, including the necessary health certificate for travel, will be added to your final invoice.     

Yes, we do. The easiest form of payment we have found is through Venmo for the deposit and final payment. PrideLands also takes all major credit cards.  Just let us know what works best for you and we can usually accommodate.

PrideLands also offers flexible financing options for new owners. With AfterPay, we offer the ability to pay off the balance (including the deposit) with 4 interest-free monthly payments. For those who wish to spread their payments over a longer term, we offer Affirm.  With Affirm, you can choose from a variety of payment options that work best for your budget. A small fee applies to each financing service (usually 3%-6%) which can be included in the financing. These are both great options to be able to take your puppy home at 8 weeks while maintaining budget flexibility.

We take a $500 deposit, which will secure your spot in the order of puppy picks.  Once the puppies reach about 5 weeks old, we take a full set of photographs of each puppy and put them on the website on the New Arrivals page. Each new owner can then review and choose their new family member in order of deposits received. We communicate very frequently with you so that you know where you are on the list.  It tends to happen very quickly .

Due to health and safety reasons, we do not allow site visits to PrideLands Rhodesian Ridgebacks.  There is significant risk to the litter by exposing the puppies to Parvovirus, Giardia, and other airborne and surface transmissible diseases. We know of other breeders that have lost entire litters due to Parvo simply by allowing site visits.

However, we do offer personal video calls where we walk you through our indoor kennel where the puppies are whelped and can show you individual puppies as well.  If you are local to Charleston, or are visiting the area, we can set up a meet-and-greet with a smaller selection of puppies at an off-site location where we can control the safety of exposure.

After 8 weeks the puppies are sufficiently weaned from their mother and are thriving on solid foods. This also provides ample time to play and learn from littermates and to be socialized properly.
